Student Support Services

St. Ignatius' Student Support Services is a collaborative effort between the administration, parents and other educators to create an environment that promotes student achievement. We believe that every child CAN learn in his or her own unique way. With different learning styles comes a need for differentiated instruction and support. Through our academic support programs, we offer individualized instruction to students with identified diverse learning needs. As a school rooted in the Catholic faith, we are committed to providing an educational environment that is safe, inclusive, and strives to meet the needs of all learners. 

SIPPS is a research based-foundational skills reading curriculum designed to help both new and struggling readers in grades K–2. The program's systematic scope and sequence provides a structured-literacy approach to instruction through explicit routines focused on phonological awareness, spelling-sounds, and sight words

We have partnered with the Dyslexia Center of Austin to provide education and support for children with Dyslexia. Take Flight is a comprehensive, ungraded, structured, and sequential curriculum that utilizes multisensory techniques for basic instruction in reading, writing, and spelling.

We currently offer a mathematics Gifted and Talented Education program for students in 2nd through 5th Grade. This program was developed to support learners who have: demonstrated advanced achievements in mathematics, show high interest in mathematics and participated successfully in challenging math problems independently. The goal of this program is to advance student's content knowledge, develop students' acquisition of more complex mathematical skills, expand students' conceptual understanding to create cross-curricular connections and to cultivate students' problem solving skills.
