I feel blessed to be the school nurse here at St. Ignatius. I am here to care for your children when they get hurt or do not feel well, as well as to educate families on health issues affecting our school.
I joined St. Ignatius as the part time school nurse in 2012. But,
I have been a part of the St. Ignatius family since 2001 when our oldest child started here in the PK-4 program. My husband Bryan and I have been married for 20 years and we have 4 children.
I am originally from Louisiana and am the oldest of 7. I attended Catholic schools from 1st grade through college and am very thankful to my parents for making this wonderful choice.
I have been a RN for over 20 years and received my BS in nursing from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC in 1992. I worked in the hospital setting in Critical Care at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans and Stanford University Hospital before moving to Texas. I chose to put my nursing career on hold while I raised our children. During those years, I continued to volunteer and take nursing continuing education classes to maintain my RN license.
