I was born and raised in Orcutt, California, where I am the product of a Catholic education from St. Mary's Catholic School. This is my fifth year teaching music at St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic School.
I earned my bachelor's degree in professional music, music therapy from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
In June of 2003, I earned my master's degree in elementary education with a concentration in music education. After graduate school, I moved to Austin with my family and became acquainted with this wonderful community, so uniquely rich in the Arts.
I love teaching music, working with children directly, sharing God's love through music liturgy, and directing the St. Ignatius Choir. I am also the Project: Arts Culture Enrichment (PACE) afterschool program director with the St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic Church, held at the Annex Building.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in music events around Austin, volunteering at Safe Place, composing music, singing for Mass, working on my children's book projects, and traveling.
